Artist Statement: I am drawn to subjects that ultimately ignite my curiosity. Particularly places that are abandoned, lost to time and uninhabited. Conversely, there are mysteries to be found in empty areas meant to be teaming with life. It's a feeling you can't replicate anywhere else, a kind of melancholy that rushes in to fill the absence of knowledge created by uncertainty. How did these places meet their fate?

Capturing this feeling with film is the only way to do these strange emotions justice. The uncertainty, the limited resources and the all consuming process of bringing the images back to life serves as a way to connect with and honor these spaces. Additionally, it is always a joy to experience the magic of rediscovering the moment you walked in these otherworldly places. I consider it a success if an image manages to evoke even a ghost of the sensation.
