Cultural Amnesia

Norris’s exhibition history is truly international, with features at Millepiani (Rome), CoCA Seattle, and the South Bend Museum of Art. His work has been a fixture at major fairs like Red Dot and Aqua Miami, supported by residencies at Caldera and the Kimmel Harding Nelson Art Center. Beyond the studio, Norris spent twenty years as a freelance curator, shaping the contemporary dialogue at institutions like Tufts University and Boise State, as well as through his own space, Soundvision. His first monograph, Shooting Blanks (2018), chronicles a pivotal five-year period of his photographic output. Today, his work is held in esteemed private and public collections worldwide, including: Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Harvard University, Vanhaerents Art Collection (Brussels), Nike, Museum de la Cuidad. His practice continues to be a subject of critical acclaim, featured in publications ranging from Leonardo (MIT Press) and The Boston Globe to PhotoBook Journal and Art Ltd. and several others.
